Amelia Perri is a RN, Psychotherapist and the owner and founder of Therapy Heals Psychotherapy and Counselling Services.  She developed Therapy Heals in 2007 to offer people high quality counselling services that are respectful of each person as a unique individual.

Over the past 16 years, Amelia has provided therapy and counselling to individuals, couples, and families for a range of problems, for example, eating disorders, couples counselling, anger and stress management, anxiety, depression, addictions, grief, trauma, self esteem issues, relationship problems, and more.  Amelia also provides supervision for therapists and meets the CRPO standards to provide supervision.

Amelia’s experience includes a combination of work in psychotherapy, counselling, and nursing, which allows her to provide her clients with a distinctive perspective.  She has been a Registered Nurse for 25 years, and it was in her nursing role where she began to develop her counselling skills.

Amelia holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Ryerson University in Toronto, and a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Athabasca University in Edmonton.  Amelia has also received specific training in brainspotting, cognitive behavior therapy, narrative therapy, attachment therapy, the Gottman method, emotion-focused therapy, and more.

Amelia has been described as compassionate, warm, and easy to talk to. She practices a non-judgemental approach in which she believes that people have good reasons for acting as they do. Amelia feels truly honoured to work along side her clients and witness their evolution and growth.

Frances Carullo, Registered Social Worker, BA (Psych), MSW, RSWFrances D’Amato, Registered Social Worker, BA (Psych), MSW, RSW 

Frances Carullo is a Registered  Social Worker with the OCSWSSW (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers) and OASW (Ontario Association of Social Workers). Frances holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from York University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto.

Frances has been providing psychotherapy and counselling services for over 5 years and has received education and training in various therapy modalities such as cognitive behavioural therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioural therapy, enhanced cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, narrative therapy, brief solution focused therapy, family therapy, crisis intervention and cyber counselling. She  is committed to expanding her knowledge of various therapies through research and participation in training workshops.

Frances has provided psychotherapy and counselling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families for a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, sexual abuse, poor body image, eating disorders, addictions, low self-esteem, loss and grief and other mental health concerns.

Frances believes that each person is a unique individual with their own personality, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In therapy, she views her client as the expert of their life. It is her responsibility to attentively listen to the client in a non-judgemental way and provide time and a safe space for them as they share their thoughts, perceptions, feelings and experiences with her. Frances believes that each person has strengths and the capacity to make changes in order to improve their overall well-being. By working collaboratively with the client, Frances assists the client in recognizing their strengths, gaining insights, enhancing existing skills and learning new skills that will allow the client to overcome challenges , resolve their own issues and heal. Frances believes that recovery is possible.

Riva Mylabathula, Registered Social Worker, BA (Psych), MC (Psych), RSW 

Riva Mylabathula is a Registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers) and OASW (Ontario Association of Social Workers). Riva holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from York University and completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology in Calgary, Alberta.  Riva Completed the Post Graduate Certificate Program in Couple and Family Therapy Studies with Guelph University.

Riva has provided psychotherapy and counseling services for over 10 years.  She works with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Riva is trained in trauma informed counselling and grief and bereavement.  She has experience working with a wide variety of problems such as anxiety, depression, couples issues, trauma, grief, self-esteem, emotion management and more.  Part of her therapeutic approach incorporates elements of Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, CBT and DBT interventions with an attachment lens.

Riva believes therapy is tailored to your unique individual needs in a non-judgmental and supportive environment. Riva’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, engaging and present focused and committed to working from a strengths based empowerment perspective. Mandy Levitt, Registered Psychotherapist, RP, MA (Psych) 

Mandy’s is a registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and also has completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology.

Mandy’s approach to therapy is empowering and compassionate and focuses on giving clients the means to enhance their understanding of themselves and their predicament, and explore possible ways to understand, manage and relieve their distress and suffering. She is an active and engaged therapist, who listens deeply and provides direct feedback or tools to help clients achieve relief and lasting and meaningful change. Within the context of unconditional acceptance and non-judgement, this means clients can develop more adaptive ways of coping, relating to others, develop deeper connections and be responsible and in control of themselves and their emotions.

Mandy’s approach is informed by an Integrative Psychodynamic understanding, complemented by additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Grief Therapy. She also see’s couples in difficulty, to improve communication and emotional connection, to transition through difficult life challenges and recover from other attachment hurts.

Mandy has over 24 years of experience. She has worked with a variety of concerns, including, depression, anxiety, personality struggles and disorders, illness, family support, relationship difficulties, coping skills, life changes and adjustments, support for caregivers, palliative care, grief, trauma debriefing, PTSD, personal growth, work/life balance and life coaching. Mandy has a number of years of experience with adolescents who are struggling. She’s seen parents of children of all ages to assist them with difficulties and help them understand their children’s needs so as to meet them in more appropriate ways.

At times, Mandy works with clients to better understand their past experiences and early emotional injuries. This often leads to greater insight into the interpersonal patterns they learned which may now be contributing to and sabotaging their adult emotional predicaments.  Mandy welcomes the opportunity to work with you.

Samantha Cohen, Registered Social Worker, MSW, RSW

Samantha is a Registered Social Worker in Ontario. She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from University of Toronto, after having completed her Bachelors of Social Work and Bachelors of Sociology through McMaster University.

Samantha has worked for the last 10 years with individuals, families, and groups in a variety of capacities. Her expertise is in anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, stress management, and parenting challenges. Samantha also specializes in child and youth mental health, and has worked primarily in children’s mental health for the last 7 years. Samantha has specific training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Counselling, and Family Therapy. 

Samantha is passionate about partnering with her clients as they journey towards discovering their inner potential and address the challenges they are currently experiencing. Samantha is a strong believer that her clients posses inner strength and resilience that can help them move through difficult life experiences, and is committed to joining with her clients to discover this.

Priyan Ramanihar, Registered Psychotherapist, B.Sc, MA (Psych)

Priyan is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from Queen’s University, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

Priyan recognizes that therapy is a process that embraces the willingness to look beyond his lens and hold space for his clients’ narratives, as experts of their own story. Challenges and issues can be engaged within a container of safety created by compassionate, empathetic therapeutic relationships.

Priyan is a firm believer that healing happens in the presence of such a connection. That the work of healing happens through reconciliation and/or through a reparative, restorative, and corrective experience.

Priyan integrates a holistic approach that is trauma-informed and nonjudgmental to respond to a diverse range of situations. These include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, addiction, trauma, and loss. He utilizes Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to support clients to make meaningful and practical changes in their lives.

Holly Gibbons, Registered Social Worker, MSW, RSW

Holly is a Registered Social Worker in Ontario.  She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto, a Bachelors Degree in Social Worker from York University, and a diploma from George Brown College in the Assaulted Women and Children’s Counsellor/Advocate Program.

Holly has worked for the last 10 years with children, youth, adults and families in a variety of settings who experience  various challenges including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, self-esteem and trauma among others.  She has significant experience supporting individuals who have been impacted by crime, violence and other tragic circumstances, while also specializing in children’s mental health and parenting challenges.  She is trained in a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Therapy.

Holly believes that each person’s story and reason for accessing therapy is unique to them, and so her approach is to meet her client’s where they are and draw on interventions that best fit their individual needs.  She offers an integrative and non-judgemental approach that is strengths-based and aims to foster a sense of safety, trust and transparency with her clients,  allowing them to remain the experts in their lives.

Jennifer Nicole Lippa, Registered Psychotherapist, MCP, BSc

Jennifer Nicole Lippa is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from Adler University in Vancouver, BC and completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at York University. 

Jennifer approaches counselling with a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and strength-based approach. She acknowledges the resiliency and courage it takes to come to therapy. She believes it is important to recognize the creative, effective and resourceful strengths every person brings with them into counselling and she holds space to move toward change. 

Jennifer uses an emotion-focused therapy (EFT) perspective by understanding emotions as valuable pieces of information that can help guide and provide understanding in life’s situations. In her work, she also uses cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical-behaviour therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness and an attachment-based lens. 

Jennifer works with adults experiencing struggles with anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. She also has experience supporting those struggling with addictions, particularly substance-use issues and has experience working within various recovery frameworks. Jennifer believes in taking a holistic approach because as humans, we are multi-faceted and our issues are too.

Brianna Stewart, Registered Psychotherapist, MA.

Brianna is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Masters of Arts in Theology: Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy from Martin Luther University College. She also has a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology (minors in Education and Criminology) from Wilfrid Laurier University. Brianna has completed a professional development course in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Level I: Fundamentals of CBT) from Wilfrid Laurier University. She also has completed level 1 and 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Brianna has experience working with adolescents and adults with a variety of areas including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, interpersonal challenges, life transitions, and other mental health concerns. Brianna also works with couples using the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. She has also co-facilitated a psychoeducation therapy group for adults with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Agnes Kaufman, Registered Psychotherapist

Agnes is a Registered Psychotherapist certified with the Canadian Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She has obtained a Ph.D. in Public Health and a Ph.D. in Bioethics.  She brings rich knowledge and skills having worked with patients and clients in a wide range of health care settings.  She has been dedicated to extending help to those in need in all sectors of health care, business and mediating conflicts and disputes among family and work associates.  As a psychotherapist she focuses on client-centered treatments, identifying everyone’s strengths, skills, passions and desires.  Creating a welcoming and supportive environment, Agnes encourages clients to pursue their interests through the process of establishing a solid therapeutic and collaborative relationship.

A strength-based approach is essential to help foster growth and recognition of the hard work the clients are doing every day. Sheena has over 17 years experience working with children, youth and their families with various needs and struggles. She has experience working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, avoidance, emotional difficulties, and current life challenges. Sheena also has expertise working with children who may be experiencing behavioural disturbances, anger management, various diagnoses, including ADHD and communication within the family. The various settings throughout Sheena’s career include, schools, residential treatment, day treatment and hospitals. She completed her undergraduate degree at York University (Toronto) and graduate degree at Northcentral University (San Diego). She has significant experience supporting families to work together as a cohesive unit, specializing in children’s mental health and parenting challenges.

Emma believes each client and family is unique in their own journey and it is important to meet her clients where they are.  She develops goals that identify the area of need and build off of each individual’s strengths. Rachel La Rosee, Registered Psychotherapist, MA

Rachel is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), Clinical Traumatologist (TITC-CT) and an EMDR trained therapist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Justice Studies and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. 

Rachel has always had a passion for helping others which is why she spent the last 10 years working in the law field. Working in law exposed her to the complexities of life, developing her belief that change, growth and healing is possible if individuals are supported with compassion, empathy, and non-judgement. This belief has become her therapeutic approach, along with recognizing and valuing that each client is unique, making the therapy process unique. Rachel will walk alongside clients through their challenges and suffering, hold a space for healing, and help clients move towards a life more in alignment with meaning and purpose.  

Rachel embraces the experiential, humanistic and psychodynamic therapy models, but will infuse elements from a variety of therapy models based on the client’s needs and desired outcomes. Lisa Kellerman Registered Social Worker BA, MSW, RSW

Lisa is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). She holds Masters of Social Work Degree from Wilfred Laurier University, a Bachelors of Social Work degree from McMaster University, a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo as well as a diploma of Child and Youth Work from Niagara College. In addition, Lisa has completed trainings and courses in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and is continuing education in Clinical Behavioural Sciences at McMaster University. 

Lisa has over 20 years of experience working with children, youth, and families. She has experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, suicidal ideation and self-harm, interpersonal relationship difficulties, eating disorders, addictions, and mood disturbances. She utilizes an eclectic approach to treatment and believes each client’s path in therapy is unique.

Christy Ogley-Bramer, Registered Social Worker RSW, MSW, BSW

Christy is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and therapist, with a Bachelors (BSW) and Masters (MSW) in social work. She has been working in the field for about 15 years and loves the work that she does. She has worked in a wide variety of settings and roles, including work with victims/ survivors of violence, individuals facing criminal charges, and adults with disabilities.

As a therapist, Christy pulls from a variety of modalities, including CBT, DBT, CPT and MI, but generally takes a warm and pragmatic, skills-based approach. She uses a strengths-based, systemic framework – meaning she honours your unique strengths and acknowledge the various forms of oppression you may face. Christy enjoys helping people learn coping strategies for persistent mental illness. She also enjoys providing a safe space to explore stress, unhealthy relationships, difficult histories, make sense of things, and build a more hopeful and healthy future. On a personal note, Christy shares that besides a general desire to help others, some of her own difficult life experiences led her into social work. She also learned to speak French in her 20s while working and living in France. The experience of being an outsider, learning a new language, and acclimatizing to a new culture helped her to grow as a person, and gave her an appreciation of what newcomers face arriving in Canada. Christy fell in love with French culture and became involved in the GTA’s diverse francophone community upon her return. She is a parent to an active toddler and identifies as queer.

Catherine Wanlin, BA, MBA, MSW, RSW

Catherine Wanlin is a Registered Social Worker with the OCSWSSW (Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Master of Business Administration degree from York University, and a Master of Social Work degree specializing in Mental Health from the University of Toronto.

Because of her passion to help people address challenges and achieve life goals, following a successful sales and executive career, Catherine invested in a second career as a social worker and therapist. In both business and therapeutic environments, Catherine has provided coaching and counselling support to help people realize positive change in their lives.

Trauma can show up in many ways in the mind and body including anxiety, depression, nightmares, difficulty trusting others, among many other common symptoms. Stephanie uses a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches that are trauma focused to support you in processing your experiences and reaching your goals for therapy.
