Our Child and Youth therapists have specific training and experience with children from age 4 and up.

Play based therapy for younger children is available by some therapists.

Child Therapy

CHANGES IN A CHILD’S BEHAVIOUR.  WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Children may have difficulty expressing their emotions with words.  Some, may express themselves through behaviours.  Parents can find these behaviours troubling and they may struggle to help their child.  Some of these behaviours might include:

  • Bed wetting
  • Nightmares
  • Aggression and/or mood swings
  • Peer conflicts
  • Changes in sleep or eating patterns

YOUTH COUNSELLING

The stage of life known as adolescence is a challenging and ever-changing period.  It is when teens are exploring who they are, creating their identity and transitioning into adulthood.  There are so many different reasons teens seek counselling. Some may include:

Parent Counselling

If your child/adolescent is apprehensive about coming for counselling, our therapists can still assist you on an individual basis.  In this case the therapist will offer suggestions and support to help you work with your child/adolescent.
